iRubric for UVA
Quick Steps:
- To attach a rubric, go to UVA's Gradebook Item Edit page and click on "Select iRubric"
- To create a rubric, select "build rubric" on top
- To see all rubrics that you have created, select "my rubrics" on top
- To see rubrics shared by others at UVA, select "rubric gallery" on top
Log In
To login, please start in Canvas and access through a course or assignment.
Quick Steps for Instructors
To attach an iRubric:
- Create a Canvas Assignment and select iRubric as the External Tool
- Click on the assignment to access iRubric
- Use an existing rubric, or build one
To build a rubric:
- After accessing iRubric thru an assignment or Course Nav, click on Build Rubric on top
- Fill out the rubric. Add/remove rows and columns as needed.
- Press save

Quick Steps for Students
- Login to Canvas
- Open an assignment that's linked to iRubric, or click on RCampus in Course navigation
- If you're asked to upload your work, click, on Upload, otherwise review the rubrics and your grade details.

Following items are needed for a Successful implementation.
Contact RCampus or the Office of Assessments for assisstance:
- Your program standards and learning outcomes in the repository
- Curriculum maps for your programs
- Report Permissions
