Organization	Excellent The main idea is supported by details, the categories make sense and are thoughtful and substantial, the reader is able to follow and understand what is written. Train of thought is understandable.	Good The main idea is supported by details, some categories are weak and not substantial. Details are purely factual and are not illuminated by higher thinking.	Needs Development There is no recognizable pattern to the ideas. They seem to be a list of thoughts that confuse the reader.
Depth	Excellent The map has at least 4 subtopics and a minimum of 2 ideas under each subtopic. Ideas are carried to a level that takes creative thought--they perhaps do not make logical sense but instinctual sense. Train of thought and association is understandable.	Good The map has 3 subtopics and/or is missing the required amount of ideas under each subtopic. Ideas are carried to only logical or factual levels.	Needs Development The map has only two subtopics and/or is missing ideas under each subtopic. Surface only detail. No depth of thought.
Creativity	Excellent The map is interesting to the eye and uses colors and images. Images are interesting and thought provoking. Images support or represent train of thought and examination of play and experience. Color and images are informed by the production design and themes of the play.	Good Some use of color and images. Images are logical but not pushing the boundaries or risky. No color or images included. Color and images do not have connection to the performance themes or designs	Needs Development No color or images included.
Connections	Excellent Connections to outside inspirations from books, movies, songs, tv shows, past experiences, history or other cultural experiences or constructs are included on every branch. Correlation to world of the play and connections to outside works is understandable.	Good Connections (as described in Excellent) included but not in every branch.	Needs Development No Connections
